Meet Nihal Parthasarathi

Hello Schoology Blog readers, I’m Nihal!

I’m a dual-action entrepreneur-writer living the dream in New York City, currently working to start my own education company, write a novel, maintain a blog, and pay my rent in the meantime.

I went to school at NYU’s undergraduate Stern School of Business, studying marketing and finance while minoring in creative writing.  I have taught the SAT’s for Kaplan, done corporate finance for Pitney Bowes and investment finance for Smith Barney, product marketing for L’Oreal, and most recently management and technology consulting for Capgemini.  I quit my consulting job in April to start a company that will help connect students and educators (more details soon!).

I am a champion of the mind and of self-improvement, and as a result of the two, a champion of education.  I believe that education is the basic building block of human society, that it is the key to all the doors we wish to open, that it is a passion catalyst that connects us more meaningfully than any other piece of our lives.  My life has taught me that I am hardwired to seek out, discover, and fulfill unrealized potential, and nothing I have encountered yet has more potential to positively impact our world than our capacity to teach and learn from others.

I’m loud, I love to laugh, and I love to listen.

I also love overanalyzing ideas, so send me yours, and let’s pick it apart together!
