It is wonderful to hear that your students have the ability to work with iPads. As of right now, there are no file systems on iOS devices that people can access. As mentioned above, we will be releasing our newest version of the iPhone App by the end of this month which will include some new features, minus some bugs that were found in the older version.

We would be happy to go over a demo of Schoology and learn more of what you are looking for in your learning management system. I assure you that Schoology will pleasantly surprise you. If interested in a demo please email me at crystal@schoology.com. Thanks for the comment!

Our new iPhone app will be released by the end of this month which will include a few new features and has taken care of all the bugs found in our first version. For example, your problem with it regularly crashing should not be a problem in the new version. As for a native iPad app, it becomes a bit more complicated in the developmental process and will not be out this summer.

I'm in the same boat as Jesse. My students are so lucky to be 1:1 with iPad 2's, but I can't find a learner management system that will allow them to upload files from their iPads. Any help? I was a LOYAL Edmodo guy but am looking to switch because of the need for this feature.

Thanks!

Any word on that native iPad app? The pixelated iPhone version is distracting. On iOS4 it gets the job done, but it crashes regularly (if it even launches) on iOS5 (to be officially released this fall).

It does look good. I think either a Schoology iPad application or an iPad specific stylesheet should be in order!

Yet another idea: perhaps the ability to have an email where we could send files to schoology, to later turn in digitally via the dropbox. This would be great for the (definitely a minority) few of us who use an iPad for most of our work and need a way to turn in homework. I don't know what capabilities or how else the iPad could upload a file to the web?
